About Foundation


Introduction

Saint John of Jerusalem Foundation was established in 1990. The mission of the foundation is to provide equal social, developmental and educational opportunities, as well as spiritual support to children and young people from poor and pathological families. The foundation also offers assistance to the blind and disabled. In January 2005 our foundation was granted status of a public benefit organization.

Every year Saint John of Jerusalem Foundation organizes prestigious charity events whose entire proceeds are spent on foundation's charter activities.

Awards and Honorable Commendations

We have received many awards and honorable commendations for our work in aid of children and young people. The awards include a letter of commendation and support for the activities carried out by Saint John of Jerusalem Foundation in aid of children from UNICEF, the "Serce dzieciom" ["Heart for Children"] award granted by the mayor of the Warsaw district of Praga Po³udnie, as well as a personal distinction for Joanna Radziwi³³ - our foundation chairwoman - Order U¶miechu [The Order of Smile] and an honorable commendation for being "a person of merit" awarded by the Polish Medical Society.

Our Team

Foundation Chairwoman

Joanna Radziwi³³ – a mother of three children, a participant of Saint Ignatius seminars and incredible optimist. Thanks to her great personal faith and good will of many people, the impossible has become possible. For years, problems of poor families, people rejected by the society and especially underprivileged children have been her main concern. She is a recipient of the Order of Smile.

Foundation Vice-President

Magdalena Kryńska – her work at the foundation in aid of underprivileged children is her passion. In her regular job, she is involved in creating educational programs. Together with Joanna, they organize numerous charity events. She spends her every free moment with our children, which gives her motivation to continue her work.
She has M.A. in pedagogy from Warsaw University. Graduate studies: The Faculty of Social Potential Management and Social Counseling at the International School of Managers.

Teachers of Little Stas's House

Monika Trofimov – for the past two years she has shown great commitment in caring for our youngest children. She has an incredible pedagogical sense - in her company, children feel loved and safe. Besides being a teacher at Little Stas's House, Monika is a coordinator of the "Guardian Wings" program.
She has M.A. in Polish Philology from Gdansk University. Her major: speech therapy; Graduate Studies in Neurological Speech Therapy at Gdansk University Speech Therapy Institute. She is also a specialist in dog-therapy.

Agnieszka Staszak – ofor the past 18 months she has been caring for our youngest children with the use of the dog-therapy to ensure their all-round development. She is incredibly energetic and enthusiastic so children love her crazy games and songs.
She has M.A. from M. Grzegorzewska Special Pedagogy Academy, the Faculty of oligophreno pedagogy. She is also a Polish Scout Association [ZHP] instructor and specialist in the dog-therapy.

Teachers of Saint Nicholas's House

Daniel Bogucki – for the past two years he has been taking care of our children aged 6 to 12. With passion, he introduces our children into the mysterious world of computers. He is a wonderful companion of children's games.
He has M.A. from the Special Pedagogy Academy. Major: rehabilitation pedagogy.

Ewa Pietnoczka – she has been caring for our children for only a few months but her commitment has already contributed a lot to the functioning of Saint Nicholas's House. She gives our children a lot of love so they feel accepted and safe.
She has M.A. from the General Learning Society Higher School of Pedagogy in Warsaw, the Faculty of Educational Sciences.

Teachers of Paul's House

Dariusz Radko
He is a teacher who - thanks to his passions such as scouting, tourism and climbing - has greatly contributed to the amazing changes that our children have been undergoing. In his work, he is famous for his spontaneity and crazy ideas.
He has M.A. from M. Grzegorzewska Special Pedagogy University. He is also a specialist in dog-therapy and instructor of the Polish Scouts Association.

Barbara Wo¼niak – Although she is a consistent and strict teacher, she shows our children a road to goodness by radiating her personal openness, warmth and kindness.
She has M.A. from Cardinal Stanislaw Wyszynski University Family Studies Institute

Coordinator of activities in aid of the disabled

Krzysztof Maliszewski – for years he has been taking care of the disabled in our foundation. He radiates warmth and is incredibly open to people's needs.
He has M.A. from the Faculty of Food Technology at the Main School of Rural Economy. Major: production of fats.
